Let’s get one thing straight, AEGEE is not (completely).
We present to you the Equal Rights Conference in Leiden: TRUE COLOURS!
From the 24th of May up to and including the 27th of May, Leiden will be filled with rainbows. Are you interested in sexual orientation and gender identity issues or gender equality? Would you like to attend a great thematic event? Do you want to learn more about the intersectional issues of sexual orientation/gender/equality? Then this conference is your cup of (LGB)Tea.
The programme will be filled with interesting workshops and lectures by experienced lecturers. Do you want to learn more about religion and sexual orientation? This is your chance! Do you want to discuss about the inclusivity of feminism? This is your chance! Do you want to learn about the causes and effects of the (growing) legal recognition of homosexual orientation? We have the perfect workshop for you! Not everything is serious business, we will also have a full and exciting social programme, including but not limited to some Quidditch (with the motto ‘I got 99 problems but a snitch ain’t one’) and a colour party (with the motto #notonlywhitepowderispopularintheNetherlands).
We would like to invite everyone to make AEGEE (and the world) an even more inclusive place. It doesn’t matter if you are new to the topics or AEGEE, how you identify yourself, or if you only have experience with one topic, the conference will be open to every AEGEE member, whether you’re a seasoned feminist or still trying to figure out all these labels.
