Are you ready for this yearly cultural celebration where societal roles are reversed? Are you ready for the biggest costume party of your life?
Every winter, Tilburg becomes Kruikenstad and the entire town comes together and come explore carnaval the Dutch way! After two years we are back and ready to invite all of you to join us again!
During Carnaval, normal daily life in the south of the Netherlands comes to a near stop as people come together to dance, sing and drink together day and night. Stores are closing, roads are blocked. Normal societal roles are reversed and Prince Carnaval is taking over the town. Since societal roles are reversed you can be anyone you want: a policeman, princess, superhero or ballet dancer.
During this four day event, we will teach everything you need to know about this traditional Dutch celebration; you’ll be hosted by our members, dress up ourselves, watch the big carnaval parade, learn you all about the history and traditions, have a city tour, traditional pub crawl with locals and most importantly, where we can party all day and night!
